The Good Samaritan Rose Garden celebrates 150 years (1857 - 2007) of the founding of the first religious congregation of women in Australia, The Sisters of the Good Samaritan of the Order of St. Benedict. The garden features The Good Samaritan Rose which was cultivated by Swane's Nursery for the Sisters. It is fitting that the garden has been created in front of the College Library window which was designed to resemble an open book (Library renovations 2006), as the provision of education is one of the Sisters main ministries.
