The Open Learning Centre

The Open Learning Centre (OLC, 1993) dedicated to Mr. John Winchester, Principal 1979 - 1994, was created by linking the 1978 Library building and the Caulfield English block. This new area allowed students timetabled in the OLC to move freely throughout the centre and easily access all resources. With this initiative St. Patrick's College came to the attention of Apple Computers Australia which recognised the College as the first innovative technology site in NSW. 1993 also saw St. Patrick's College go online to use the internet which the College staff described as "a global computer network of huge potential."
