Meditation, Yoga & Sleep
This page has a range of resources to support your health and wellbeing not only over the Christmas holiday season, but throughout the year.
Meditation
Meditation isn’t about becoming a different person, a new person, or even a better person. It’s about training in awareness and getting a healthy sense of perspective. You’re not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings. You’re learning to observe them without judgment. And eventually, you may start to better understand them as well.

10 Tips to a Good Night's Sleep
1. Have a regular sleep pattern - go to bed at the same time each night, wake up at the same time each morning
2. Manage your worries. Keep a journal by your bed to jot down your thoughts before you sleep
3. Wind down before you go to bed - read a book, listen to music, take a bath
4. Make sure your bedroom is comfortable - quiet and dark, and a cool (not cold) temperature
5. Avoid napping after school
6. Get adequate exercise during the day
7. Don't eat or drink late in the evening
8. Listen to calming music or a meditation
