How to Research

This guide will assist anyone with a research task

Evaluating websites

The best way to assess the quality of information found online - whether it's a website, YouTube video or podcast - is to apply the C.R.A.P test :

C - Currency When was the website information last updated? Is the information current?
R - Relevancy
How relevant / accurate is the information to your task?
A - Authority - Who is the author of the website’s information? What are their qualifications? Can the author be trusted?

P - Purpose Why does the website exist? Was it created to sell or persuade? Think about biases.
