National Indigenous Languages Report

The 2019 International Year of Indigenous
Languages has raised awareness of the crucial role that language plays in people’s lives.
Languages are much more than a communication tool. They are integral to maintaining the identity, sustainability, vitality and strength of people and
cultures across the globe. When a language is no longer spoken it disconnects people from their past, and a wealth of knowledge,
tradition and culture becomes harder to express and pass on.

Mabo: the Native title Revolution.

Mabo - The Native Title Revolution delves into the Mabo legal case and the important issues it raises for Australians and indigenous peoples everywhere. It gives an overview of the case and provides an insight into both the man at its centre, Eddie "Koiki" Mabo, and Torres Strait Islander culture.

National Agreement on Closing the Gap

The objective of this Agreement is to overcome the entrenched inequality faced by too many
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people so that their life outcomes are equal to all Australians.
