Philipp von Lenard
Philipp von Lenard was born at Pressburg in Austria-Hungary on June 7, 1862, and died on May 20, 1947 at Messelhausen, Germany. He was the recipient of the 1905 Nobel Prize for Physics for his research on cathode rays and the discovery of many of their properties.
