Welcome to the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge

Welcome to the 2025 NSW Premier's Reading Challenge.

Challenge opens : Monday 24th February 2025

Challenge closes : Friday 19th September 2025.

          This is a 4 week extension on the original end date.

To complete the challenge you must read 20 books:

- a minimum of 10 books must be from the PRC Booklist

- a maximum of 10 books may be your own personal choice.

You must complete your online Student Reading Record by Friday 22nd August 2025.

How do I log into the challenge?

Wondering how to locate PRC titles in the College Library Catalogue

                                               

Once you are logged into the Library page, click on the search icon and type 'Premier's Reading Challenge' in the search bar. 

This will give you a list of all of the books and eBooks which are on the PRC Booklists.

Ebooks and Audio books

More free eBooks and audioBooks for you!

  1. Get the free Boundless mobile app. It is available from your mobile device's app store (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play).

  2. Open the Boundless app.

  3. Find our College "St Patricks College".

  4. Click on the St Pats School login (the blue bar).  If not at College you will need to use your school email and password to confirm that this is you.  You will only need to do this the first time as you will remain logged in, on that device.

  5. Browse and tap a cover to borrow a title or place a hold.

Ebooks and Audiobooks

As a St Patrick’s College student you have free access to a HUGE range of ebooks and audiobooks.

ePlatform by Wheelers is an eBook and audiobook platform St Patrick's subscribes to, for the benefit of all staff and students.

To install on your laptop, please use the following browser address, then sign in using your College email address and password:

Alternatively the app can be downloaded on your mobile device (phone or Ipad). Once the app is downloaded, you can log in using your St Pat's login details and start browsing - step-by-step instructions are pictured below.

Once you are logged in to ePlatform select Saint Patrick's College Campbelltown.

There is a search bar at the top of the screen where you can search for an author or book title. Or if you want to browse just scroll down the screen.

To browse for books on the Premier's Reading Challenge list scroll past Latest additions, New/ Recent Releases, Listening Favourites and Popular titles. You will find the Premier's Reading Challenge 7-9 books at the bottom. Click on View More to see more titles. There are hundreds of ebooks that you can choose from.

PRC eBooks

Currently, the library has an extensive collection of eBooks available for you to borrow. All of the titles are on the PRC 7-9 list. Please click on the image below to be taken to the library where you can browse through the 382 titles on offer.

                                         

Documents to use

This is a paper copy of your Personal Reading log. You may use this to record the books you have read BUT to complete the challenge you must log your books ONLINE.

The library have spare paper logs if you need them.

                  Below are the rules for the 2025 PRC

* Books read after the challenge closes can be included in your tally for the following year.

* 3-10 challengers: You can read books on your own, read them with someone else, or someone can read them to you.

* 7-10 challengers: you must read the books on your own but someone else may help you choose them.

* You may read up to 5 books in any series on the PRC booklists. You may read up to 10 books from the same series as personal choice.

Recent additions/ recommendation

An Enola Holmes Mystery : The case of the missing Marquess

While searching the clues to her missing mother's whereabouts, fourteen-year-old Enola Holmes, the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes, suddenly gets involved in the kidnapping of a young Marquess and must put the search for her mother on hold in order to save the spoiled girl from her dangerous captors.

Episodes of Between the bookshelves are now available to listen to on Spotify. Every episode contains a book pitch for the author's titles, recommendations of similar reads, and discussions around creating and nurturing readers in a school setting.
